My peace of mind – I have pet Insurance

I am part of an exclusive group of pet owners that chose a BULLDOG as their companion. When I made this choice, it was mostly on impulse. Wrinkly, squishy, unique . That was the complete thought process. What I hadn’t taken into consideration was massive shedding (I am a neat and clean freak), farting, snoring, stubbornness, bitchiness and bossiness. And I got all of those things. I immediately looked into health insurance. Because after reading up on this breed and investigating the possible health issues of this breed i was determined not to outsmart myself a second time.

Now at age 4, my dog has literally no health issues. But as a puppy, she did have some issues and inexperienced me was a vet’s dream client. I ran for every little thing. Eye issues, skin issues, ringworm, and more. It was “quite fun”.   But pet insurance backed me up. One winter, Stella (that’s my angels name) ate who knows what and became extremely ill. She became dehydrated, bleeding from both ends and needed to stay in the hospital for 2 days. The invoice for that stay and her treatment was FIERCE. Nationwide paid the bill in full. So today although I have a really healthy bulldog, I continue to pay my insurance, because its exactly that.   Pet insurance is why I have peace of mind no matter what goes wrong.

If you get the impression I might have chosen the wrong breed, this bitchy, bossy, snoring, farting , stubborn girl is the light of my life. I love her with all of my heart.
